msgreenf reacted to pdapice in SR260 Remote Hourglass Issues
i had this problem with a SR260 that i purchase from ebay also, the solution for me was to bring it within 2 feet of the controller when i attempted to discover it on the network. once i did that it found the network fine and joined. I did however try all of the reset codes first before i figured that out, so that may also be part of the process

Luxul ac3100? Comcast? Hardwired EA3? Dealer unable to quickly solve problems? Sounds like my (soon-to-be-former) dealer. Are you by any chance in New Jersey? If so, send me a PM and I might be able to help (there are independent network consultants around here who, while not C4 dealers, know their way around C4 and are expert at WiFi vs. ZigBee issues, network collisions, etc. Worth every hour at $75 per that I paid. My system is now flawless, I had them do everything @knowitall recommended on this forum, plus Comcast tricks too).

Control 4 makes switches and dimmers - not smart bulbs

Why not get a control4 keypad dimmer? It will control a lighting load, volume and whatever else you want to program in.

msgreenf reacted to Derrick Cain in XM Radio audio stops randomly
So we've been testing multiple sources (Sonos, Denon, C4), and the URL stream for SiriusXM seems to be timing out, no matter the source. Our engineering has been working with them, and letting them know of the issues we're experiencing with their streams. I'll provide any updates we get, otherwise they are aware of this now.

msgreenf reacted to zaphod in Is Alexa becoming a C4 competitor at the low end?
I hope that you will be able to set the alarm clock in a way that it doesn't double as a night light. I hate most modern clock radios for this reason.

msgreenf reacted to Dave w in Is Alexa becoming a C4 competitor at the low end?
Great minds think alike....ordered a white one. Supplement yes, competitor, not even close. Patching together smart devices with a hub is a far cry from home automation. As are smart remotes....

Ok we have now created our own image hosting service running on our own servers. Everyone who is on driverCentral will have an update pushed out to them within the next 24 hours. People who are on houselogix will need to upgrade to the driverCentral version.

msgreenf reacted to Joshua Pressnell in Homebridge Driver for HomeKit Support?
Perhaps. Doesn’t mean I should add to the craziness. I far prefer the “elegant” approach.
Not sure how many people out there want to integrate Harmony remotes... but conceptually, the driver wouldn’t be too difficult

You are asking people on a control4 forum if removing it makes sense. I don't think anyone is going to say remove it. Lol.
I think you need a better dealer

msgreenf reacted to Derrick Cain in Alexa Troubleshooting
Our web services team has identified and addressed the issue that may have been affecting users during higher traffic times. If your Control4 account is currently disconnected from Alexa (devices showing offline), disable and re-enable the skill. We are continuing to improve stability and response when using native Alexa. Please PM me or post if you have issues or feedback.

msgreenf reacted to Joshua Pressnell in Amazon Dash Buttons?
I'm preparing a driver and just such a "productized" server appliance now. Nearly done with it. The driver will receive inputs from any number of named dash buttons, and you can program whatever action you want for them. The server is based off of my homebridge appliance. I already have all the components of the system working, and I'm just finishing up the web configuration portal (to make setup/management super easy). After some thought, the driver itself will be free. If you already have my homebridge appliance, the update that includes dash buttons will be free. You can either buy my homebridge appliance (which also lets you use it for HomeKit) for $225, or a stripped down Dash Button only version for $100. I also allow you to license the entire OS image of either for $50.

msgreenf reacted to Matt Lowe in Amazon Dash Buttons?
not sure if i see any benefit unless it is cheap cheap.
nyce and card access both have multiple buttons that are zigbee and offer well over 10 or more commands each.
if they integrated directly that would be nice though
