I just switched over from Harmony Elite to a C4 setup. It worked ok for me because I had Lutron lighting. I also used a SmartThings hub to connect everything else. I just got tired of the outages and wonky UI. I would also suggest having someone who does remote Programming look at your system. I am extremely happy with the change to C4. I’m sure there will be problems at some point but they are electronics. I’ve come to expect it. Having said that, it sounds like you are certainly having issue that aren’t little glitches. I have a remote programmed. I’d be happy to give you his contact info if you’d like.

It’s a shame that you want to replace Control4 with Harmony. You can have a remote dealer from this forum take a look at your system and see what can be done.  They are great programmers here that can fix your issues.

I haven't loaded too many web pages yet but I set up our family google calendar on the T3 and it displays properly and updates quickly.  It works after a controller reboot too.  I no longer have excuses as to why I didn't see the appointment  my wife added on the kitchen T3 about fixing the baby gate on the weekend.
For $10 its a handy driver to have and  the url can be changed in Composer HE for end users.

Thought I'd get us back on track here to say that Ari is great. He was a big help with a few things in my system this week, is very responsive, a great value with how quick he is and was great to chat with while we worked on the project----highly recommend.

Actually i have now replicated this.  Turns out when Kodi is in the background it doesn't like jumping screens.  I have updated the beta driver to fix this.
Also i have added the ability to automatically turn the room on when it detects audio.  This is great for things like chromecast when you cast to the Shield and the TV will automatically turn on for you.
Play/Pause/Stop/Skip Next/Skip Previous all work for cast.

Thanks so much everyone!  I am a big "fan" of this forum.  (Sorry, couldn't help myself.)
So RF remote, not IR, who knew?  Got it now.  Will proceed with one of the solutions proposed ... excellent.
I am thinking 3 fans, basically one in each main room ... having them run really seems to make a difference here in Florida (in my temp rental place) even with the A/C on at full blast.  I am new to this snowbird thing, not sure I like it, but at least there does seem to be two very-near C4 dealers.
    Thanks again.

We have two solutions for Fan control.
the first for any multi speed IR controlled fans
    https://www.chowmainsoft.com/generic-fan-controller
The second for the IP controlled Big Ass Fans Haiku range (even works for the built in lights)
    https://www.chowmainsoft.com/big-ass-fanslights-haiku-driver
both drivers show up as multi speed fans in control4

Here is my setup.  I have hunter douglas fans.  They have built in RF fan speed controllers.  No way to bypass.  So what I did was use their RF remote and turn it on full speed. Then wired in the c4 fan speed controller and  i use that adjust the speed.

Ok so after quite a bit of feedback from everyone i have modified the driver to include the following.
Replacement of JSON-RPC based transport controls with IRUSB based controls if IRUSB is installed (this enables navigation of other apps whilst kodi is running). Ability for Kodi to hide in the background and be called to the foreground upon media selection from navigator - enables you to use other apps like netflix, youtube, etc and also browse movies, tv shows, etc via navigator. IRUSB mini drivers are now implemented in the driver.  This means you can now launch the android apps from navigator without using another driver The driver is currently in beta so please PM me with your email address if you want to be part of this beta.  Looking at releasing this in the next week or so.

I had the Hue bulbs and returned them. I didn’t like having the switch on at all times. I have a habit of turning everything off when I leave the room. Doing that means you have no control to turn them on.
i am using Lutron switches which seem to be a reasonably priced alternative, but if I could start again, I’d just buy the C4 switches. I might still, but over time.

Well for starters the amp model you mention in the first post is NOT the amp you have, you actually have a power (dumb) amp not a matrixed amp.

This actually makes your life easier.
EITHER use the global input for one sonos (and set each zone to use global with the switch)or add sonos to each input or if you want to combine a few zones you can use those outputs to jumper multiple zones together.
NOW the next thing is your sensitivity setting.
It would appear the amp is already jumpered to always be on, BUT the trigger is set to off. Ie that jumper doesn't do anything yet. Set sensitivity to the middle, move the trigger switch and adjust as needed for average volume. Your Sonos will then handle the volume control.

More than that but sure - and when you have a bank of 8 of them it's about the same price.
UNLESS color is important, go with light switches. Hue bulbs are nice for certain accent things, great for table/standlamps as an alternative for getting an outlet control but for main lighting I wouldn't reco9mmend it. Especially within C4. One issue is that you still HAVE those light switches and you need to do something with it - you can keep the original switch but than you risk accidental loss of control, you can't wire it through in most regions legally (must be an easy access way of shutting power off) or if you want to make sure they are always on....you install a controlled light switch anyway.

If cost for C4 lighting is truly that prohibitive you can work with your dealer to look at alternative lighting option, but going all controlled bulbs is just not a great idea in my opinion

Why all the meraki hardware?  Is it because that is what you work with? you mentioned this is your job.
Your setup is what is killing you.  Also, Meraki can also flood your network when constantly trying to ping/access their cloud portal.  Trust me, I’ve witnessed it.
Used to like them when Meraki was Meraki.  But now that Cisco is involved, I’ve stayed away.
This network could easily be given full gigabit Access, separate Vlans and a solid firewall using a single $180 Mikrotik.

Actually the reason I didn't reply faster is because I was driving to work, eating breakfast and in my morning routine not bcusae I don't have an answer.
NYCE and Card Access have both built remotes, not remotes like you are talking but still it illustrates the point that 3rd parties can make hardware for Control4.  AXXES is another 3rd party zigbee integration.
Any my idea of built it yourself isn't a wise crack.  I have started 3 businesses and have another full time job.  I believe in innovation and startups.  I wouldn't have started 3 different companies if I didn't think I could fill a gap.  One company has 5 employees now and in it's first year of business has nice revenue and growth and has raised angel funding that is pretty impressive.  Not gloating but just saying, I FIRMLY believe in the American Dream - work hard and build something
