Looking for a few beta testers to test out the new feature...

I am looking for a wide variety of devices (but no super old ones!) to check that the browser compatibility is decent. If you're interested then please PM me. (You will need an active BWD license - trial, showroom or purchased).

Quite right - but I am pretty sure that is a temporary situation...

The lights are easy. Just set a schedule to change preset level. I also have another scheduled event at sunrise to change the preset level to 80%. That's it. Works 100% of the time, every time.
Disable Keypad control for party mode is a bit more complicated but looks like this

 
Create a variable called Party Mode. I have a Custom UI button that when pressed it activates party mode and goes red. If you tap it again it goes back to neutral (grey) and disables party mode. Then for each button on each keypad you need to have a line "If party is true" > "Stop". "If party is false" > "Perform Action X"

I recently added one of the TP-Link energy monitoring plugs (HS110) to my washing machine. When the cycle finishes, I programmed an announcement telling us the load needs changed and, because we are really good at ignoring things, I have a C4 push notification sent to our phones 15 minutes later to remind us (probably need to send notifications about 3 more times though). 
I use the Chowmain TP-Link and Advanced Announcements drivers for this. 

Although I won't give a timeline or details, this was not included due to time constraints and should be addressed in an upcoming release.

v7 released with the custom buttons available on web interface and programming. 

Backwards compatibility is maintained if you were using programming for anything.

Great write up!  Wish I had it a couple hours ago.
I tried to follow Google’s instructions and failed miserably.  Don’t fall for the trap of following the online recommendations. 

Working fine now.  Talk about incredible driver support.  I’d license the driver even if I wasn’t going to use it.
 
But the interactive function (nav screen and local web page) provide a significant value add over other TTS driver options, so this is a no brainer, especially with the new dynamic submit selection buttons.
 
From my standpoint the only thing missing is the ability to specify my own target mp3 file and maybe adding the user created buttons to the web page.

I like this idea…and I just had a suggestion for something similar…
So in the next release there will be a new property...

If you enter a comma separated list then your media service will look like this...

And then you can change your Announcement File Updated programming to...

And if you created the announcements as you would expect and have them all playing the audio file shown in the driver properties...
You should be able to send text to speech announcements to any room (or group of rooms) from this driver.

I have it as stop for now.  I'll test to see if i run this cycle 2-3x that it will reset after i stop and it starts again.  we'll see.  ill mess with it and watch what happens in Composer HE

This is an interesting concept, and one I hadn't considered. I have to give that some thought......

I don't know if I ever saw an official announcement, but just think about it. The new driver is the new supported method from Apple. It requires the customer's iOS device to link to the iOS account. If you don't think Apple has a stranglehold over what can and can't support that... you're not paying attention.

Apple likes their walls around their garden. For better and for worse. Good security, frustrating third-party integration.

Right - it is all on Apple - but hey, come here and blame control4 half cocked and then you are on a beta OS - so clearly control4 should work on betas without issues....Look in the mirror...

Or a Roku. The Roku integration is fantastic.

This kind of forced obsolescence should result in you leaving Apple, not Control4, because this is entirely Apple's fault.

Sorry for the delay in response. The app will technically work on Kindle Fire tablets, the issue is that the Amazon store is filtering it from being visible for those devices. We have identified the issue, and we have a fix. The fix is currently going through validation. Once we feel confident that the fix doesn't break other areas of the app we will release it.
