True, the beta was closed, but there *were* end user customers as well as (obviously) dealers involved during design and beta testing.
You just weren't one of them.

The new interface is leaps and bounds better, in my opinion.

There is no *official* upgrade path from the existing NEEO remotes to the Control4 OS.
There is no dealer or end user process to port the remotes over to Control4.

Not sure that predicting that Control4 will add additional features in upcoming releases required anything close to oracle status...
The fact that Comfort was going to be released shortly was both announced to the dealer channel, and also is being shown on deliberately released screenshots and working in the video on control4.com...
Not sure your previous prediction of 'and then leave everyone who bought this version high and dry' was too accurate...

I must say, I usually jump in and buy... but I am going to wait for a few reviews from end users before I buy this one.... but if I don’t buy the Neeo, I have no doubt I’ll buy the Neeo V2 so please do keep developing 😀
Great to see new hardware coming out.

the good part is you don't have to buy it!
Personally, I don't plan on buying them

While the external design and many hardware features are the same, the hardware has been upgraded somewhat, with much more RAM and Flash to support larger projects and additional functionality.
The biggest update, of course, is the software and seamless compatibility with Control4.
There's also a better-handled warranty (drop shipped replacement), better dealer support, and a profitable, vibrant, active company supporting the product.
All of these things cost money.
Dealers are not going to discuss products in beta.  That's how you become an ex-dealer, or at minimum an ex-beta participant.

you should probably not be using Control4 and spending so much time on this forum if you hate it so much and think its such a ripoff.  Also if you think that product pricing is based on the cost of the physical material, you are sorely mistaken.  The expensive part is the software, cost to develop, sell, maintain, and support the software and hardware properly.

I fixed this in my homebridge.
you can check it out on Homebridge-chamberlain
    - they changed to a newer api so you need to update to:
    User-Agent': 'myQ/14041 CFNetwork/1107.1 Darwin/19.0.0
also they use new device id’s now.  The opener id is longer now and starts with a CG.

    The houselogix driver is dead.
    Nothing to do about it.
You can either move to the Cinegration driver and pay for it, or use the option mentioned above that involves soldering yourself, or get the pre-built option mentioned a few posts above, and wire it to relays and add sensors (or use exisitng security sensors).

correct, it just adds another layer of unnecessary complexity.
what tripping you up in alexa? that should work
its nothing you can't do without it, just makes programming easier
    nope, not today
I think we should talk on the phone about this and what it does, what it doesn't do before you buy anything

    3. use the native - don't duplicate.
I am not a major fan of anything complex with voice control, i just don't think it's there yet.  Great for lights and some basics.

Yup - that is what I have in my house.  I have a Ring Pro with the Blackwire driver (I can provide you copies) setup on my front door.  Then I have an Amcrest camera (using my driver) powered by POE on a column that looks at the front door.  When ring senses motion on my T3s it uses the navigation agent to show the camera for 2 minutes.

Ari is excellent. He's both quick and thorough, very responsive, and prices are reasonable. I was going to get rid of the C4 system I'd had for many years because the system didn't always work and I was unhappy with my dealer. Ari got it working in no time, and I no longer have any of the issues I used to have with the system. It's been easy to work with Ari, and he's been patient as I order various new components and get them set up. Highly recommend.

Got it all wired up tonight. Now just need to get the io extender added to my project along with the drivers and two doors.

    Used the following:
    Rail mount contact sensors x2
    Extra garage door opener
    Cat5e ran to rack

May put the opener and wiring in a box at some point but not too bad.

Weird inconsistent errors on a single HDBaseT connection, first thought is the line itself, next the receiving balun, next the TV

The TP link and Wemo units work well and the price isn't much different, you will need to pay for a third party driver though.

Not only not integrated, no possible way (API available) to integrate.
Comcast's integration at this point is limited to keypress functionality, not even any 2-way 'now playing' data.

I'm not so sure there WAS any inventory to speak of.
    This is exactly my thought.
MY worry is that people get hyped on a touchscreen remote, it's not going to live up to expectation, and it will cause ill will in short order.

But as I've said before on this forum, I don't mind being proven wrong. Maybe this thing will be great.

Hmm. Jsut a though but, you may want to try putting that cable back in and see if you get image - could still be a handshake issue (disconnteing a cable will force many devices to re-do the EDID configuration automatically

Yes you need timers for each room with a motion sensor.
