msgreenf reacted to lippavisual in Amp trigger programming
No programming is necessary at all, once all bindings are implemented correctly. It will just work.

Are the amps set as the Audio Endpoints to the rooms they are powering?
Audio Matrix would be Audio volume 1 but the amps need to be the endpoints.
Considering how your dealer originally set this all up, I wouldn't be surprised if this was missed.

Is this even necessary? I have the 12V trigger both of my amps (one Episode, one Triad) wired to the 12V trigger outputs on my Triad matrix and my amps turn on/off properly. Is this just because I have a matrix in the mix?

msgreenf reacted to Cyknight in Samsung One Connect Box Question
.....
I think you're all overthinking this too much.
Yes, connect the HDMI to the stupid samsung box, connect the samsung box to the TV. Mount the box to the wall - you have a swing arm mount so should have enough room.
Get the approriate driver installed, connect the IR to the front of the TV (or get it changed to the network if reasonable to do, but that's a side question).
Done.
As far as C4 is concerned there is no 'box' there - it just sees a TV. That the HDMI and audio board is external vs internal (which is basically all that stupid thing is) the system won't care about.

Remove the relay drivers completely or disconnect them.
Click on your Triad 8 zone amp driver.
Bind the 12v trigger from the amp to the EA5 relays.
thats it.
if it’s not working, then your wiring isn’t correct on the EA5 side. The amps expect 12v to turn on so you need to steal the 12v from the EA5 contact, then the relay will control the 12v flow when it opens or closes.

msgreenf reacted to Cyknight in EA1 No Secondary Audio Outputs ?
Because the EA3 is the replacement for the HC250 - the EA1 is an addition to the line up.

It's probably wired wrong, however I can't see what you did and neither am I an electrician (but I have re-tro fitted these for myself and showed a few electricians on how to do it). The goal is to convert ONE switch box for the KD so that the other locations DO NOT have any ability to control the light. Close those circuits so they do not do any switching anymore. You should have a spare wire traveling across the other switch boxes (traveler). Use that traveler with the yellow wire on the KD.

Ya there should have been zero need to program anything if he used the right drivers.

msgreenf got a reaction from Time2Jet in Z2io & Fireplace
because I'm nosey and interested I connected into your project
your living room Z2IO as shown in the network zigbee tab has hardly 1 bar of signal. That is likely your problem, just not reliable like that. It is literally the single worst zigbee device on your project. it is connected to your Front Door Lanterns for zigbee signal which i am going to say probably have some brick or other material separating that.
As a quick fix, unplug the Z2IO and see if it reconnects to a different zigbee host but you need more zigbee coverage in that area either via a zigbee hub or swithes/keypads.

Snap will probably send you some if you contact your rep. They have sent me Episode amp rack ears before.

Mitch,
New to C4Forums and wanted to see about a couple drivers from Blackwire and DriverCentral for my system. I'm in Louisville and my dealer does great with hardware and that integration, but not much with 3rd party drivers. I wasn't able to send you a message.
Thanks,
Brian

Very responsive and knowledgeable.

Not possible. C4 hardware only works w c4 controllers. Buy an ea1 or maybe even a 250 or 800 if you are truly only going to use those handful of switches

Mitch just helped me out with a project. In over a dozen years of owning a Control4 system I have never had a better experience. I highly recommend him.

msgreenf got a reaction from Time2Jet in Samsung IP control disconnect issue
that sounds like the wrong IP - the TV turns on via WOL. Do you have the TV id'ed via SDDP?

They'll need to know the IP address of the Shield for it to work. Hopefully they have access to the router so they can use an address reservation.

yea, override wouldn't work with Zigbee being poor cause it requires zigbee
