Sounds like you've hit a crossroad. Either you continue to do work for your big company and lose out on your own dealer account. Or focus on your own business.

Well you could go with a Ring Elite - that would use the POE line already ran for the DS2 and wouldn't require batteries.  The integration is limited, you can trigger events in c4 but you can't integrate video or use intercom anywhere.
If you buy the Ring Elite from me (or any other Blackwire based distributor) the $100 ring driver is included

Lot's of questions and lots of lack of information on how to make things better.
Good news with both Alexa and Google with the NATIVE control4 integration - no 3rd party drivers, you can now talk to the dot/mini/whatever and say turn the lights on/off and it will know the room you are in and turn the lights on/off!  Awesome right?  I know this post is going to lead to more questions but I'm tired of all the random questions.
    Alexa
In order to make this work in Alexa you have to setup Groups.  (Think of groups like rooms).
Each Group has a prefered Alexa device (which can be any generation echo or spot) - ONLY ONE
Here are instructions on how to setup Groups - https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201749250
The key to a group is a few things:
    1) Pick the right Alexa device - you can only pick one
    2) Pick everything you want that Alexa device to control and add it to the group
    3) KEY STEP - DON'T SKIP - Control4 devices come in as "switches" not lights, you have to change that for every lighting load.  You have to go to all devices, the find the device, click gears and change the type to Light from switch and save.  You must do this for every load.
Bonus Feature: You can also call a group by a name, so if you are in the living room you can tell it to turn the master bedroom lights on/off

    Google
WIth Google you do much the same.  You setup rooms in the google Home app, add all your devices including more then 1 Google Mini/Nest Mini/Google Home/Nest home to a room.  THen when you are in that room - Googl turn the lights on off.

I believe the HC800 is capped at 16/44.1 on the resolution.  As for the EA-5 or EA-3 just note if you want to achieve full 24/192 you are restricted to a maximum of 2 streams otherwise the resolution drops just slightly (24/96 & 24/48) the more you add.  It is of course arguable if one might notice that difference and there are a number of other factors that can contribute (source & equipment).

Neither Control4 nor Lutron recommend putting gangs of dimmers in hidden locations such as closets.
If you want panelized lighting (and it's benefits of less wall clutter, etc.), do panelized lighting.
Don't try and use wireless dimmers as panelized lighting.

I think it's too early to know how any standards released by this alliance will affect Control4.
I'm hopeful that some useful open standards will come from the project, but have seen many of these alliances over the past 20 years in Home Automation, and few if any of them have produced anything useful 'out the other end'.
The one thing I would say is that Control4 is committed more than any other Home Automation company to supporting and integrating with 3rd party products.  If you look at nearly any tech products (Nest, Dish, Samsung TVs, Sony TVs / Receivers, Panasonic TVs, many others), Control4 in almost all cases had the first driver to support the product, and usually has the most functionality exposed in those drivers.
I can't imagine that changing in the future.

You asking how often they displaying the same content is really funny because I do not think i have changed the inputs / outputs on the existing matrix for years. Living room & master bedroom are using the main SkyQ box and the Kitchen / guestroom/Garden share a SkyQ mini. the 3rd input is my blu ray player which I dont think has been switched on in over a yr. the 4th was a games console which i have now disconnected. I think anything else but local would be ridiculous given my current requirements. In fact might as well keep the 2K matrix to distribute the sky Qminis as they cant't handle 4K and send the skyQ 2TB(4K) ( via my Denon) through a HDBT extender to the display in the Living room.
