msgreenf reacted to Crustyloafer in Remote Programming Services Offered - UK Based
Now that the UK is on full lock-down and I'm stuck at home, if there is anyone on here in need of some remote programming services, an OS update or just general advice on how to achieve something with their Control4 system please get in touch.
My rates are very reasonable, I have been programming Control4 for about 4 years now and have provided remote programming and system updates for a number of clients within the UK and as far afield as Denver, US, Ireland and Australia.
With us all being stuck in our homes, I'm sure this will give end users plenty of opportunity to think up new ideas for integration and automation to make their lives easier and more enjoyable, so please do not hesitate to get in touch if you think I can be of assistance.

msgreenf reacted to ekohn00 in FIOS speed question
if you have a wired connection to the FIOS router, and your doing a network speed test and see only 100mbps, call Verizon. maybe they forgot to change the speed.
when you upgraded to 1G, did they come to the house and do other upgrades and a new modem.

If he installed the driver you can do everything in composer HE.
Here is the documentation - https://1drv.ms/b/s!AjlPKu70xbLAhOcTGJPrFOCQOb6M8A?e=aF1hrg
If you want help, PM me and I can help

WAN-LAN throughput is throttled by the router because of firewall and other configs on the router. You want that to change, then change out your router. IPSec is VPN so shouldn't have any affects locally.
Then on top of that you have EEro installed. Most likely configured as wireless extenders. When doing so, your cutting your available speeds in half. To have any decent results from EEro, you need to have each unit be set as access point.

msgreenf reacted to Crustyloafer in IR Codes
Almost zero chance, if there is not a button for those services on the original remote control there will almost certainly not be dedicated IR codes for them, especially obscure apps like the ones you listed.
Seriously, I wouldn't waste your time on this at all.

Matthew,
Mitch is a stand up dude. If he cannot fix it there is a likelihood it cannot be fixed.

msgreenf got a reaction from eggzlot in UniFi Protect Control4 Driver
We have developed a partial driver that allows you to see the video, but not snapshots from the UnifiProtect. This driver allows you to leverage things like the navigation agent to show the video on a Navigator interface automatically or allows you to click on a static image (camera picture) to show the video. You can read more about the driver here - https://www.blackwiredesigns.com/store/unifi-protect/ -
msgreenf reacted to JSTRONG in New lighting products?
I installed 8 in a system with 90 installed non essential dimmers and they are just as responsive as the regular lighting. Also, they are easier to install since they have the push in screw terminals.

msgreenf reacted to lippavisual in Update network for wifi control4
Could easily reach $4K if they're installing the best Wifi out there (aka Ruckus), plus labor. It's not like he listed what was proposed and don't really have a scope of work.
Not sure what you find funny? Ubiquiti isn't for everyone either, especially if you have zero clue about networking. The constant bugs and updates can drive one mad.

msgreenf reacted to PorterTX in Assigning Radio stations from Tunein
Great timing as I just ran into this exact issue about 2 weeks ago and @msgreenf helped me to figure it out so I can share. For starters I believe you need to have created yours favorites in TuneIn for whatever stations you want. Then in Composer HE when in programming on the Actions side select the room you are controlling, then in "Select Media" click on the little box with 3 dots and when that pop up box comes up select "Broadcast Audio" to find your TuneIn selection. It was completely counterintuitive compared to Pandora. An alternative would be to use the free IHeartRadio driver as those you can create normal favorites on a keypad like a Pandora station.
See a pic below for the TuneIn example and hopefully this helps.

My question would be, where are you sourcing all this “brand new” equipment other than from another dealer?
