Prakash.Rola reacted to alanchow in Chowmainsoft Launches New Marketplace for Home Automation System Drivers
Chowmainsoft, a global leader of driver, module, and plugin development for home automation systems, announces the launch of the Chowmainsoft Marketplace. This online portal allows integrators to purchase and manage driver licenses, update drivers, and obtain support.

The marketplace offers over 350 drivers across 160 unique manufacturer brands and nine control systems. Over half of these drivers are manufacturer-sponsored and available for free download. Supported control systems include Control4, Crestron, Crestron Home, Fibaro, Nice Home Management (ELAN), Q-SYS, RTI, Savant, and URC.

Integrators are able to benefit from free showroom licensing which allow them to learn and demonstrate drivers before onsite installation. Additionally, all drivers come with a 90-day trial, allowing customers to evaluate drivers prior to Integrators purchasing licenses which can be done 24/7 through the marketplace. The platform also enables integrators to migrate licenses to new systems independently, facilitating smooth transitions when home automation controllers are replaced or upgraded.

Chowmainsoft has a dedicated in-house driver development team, with backgrounds in home automation manufacturing, distribution, and installation. This team collaborates closely with control system and product manufacturers to design and develop feature-rich and easy-to-install drivers.

Understanding the importance of driver support, Chowmainsoft provides technical support to integrators five days a week for 19 hours each day via tickets, chat and UK/US/AU phone numbers by team members in New Zealand, Australia, and the UK.

"Chowmainsoft is dedicated solely to drivers. Our focus on driver development and support ensures the success of our partners, be they integrators, home automation manufacturers, or product manufacturers. The marketplace is the next logical step in providing top-level service to our partners," says Alan Chow, Managing Director.   We sincerely thank DriverCentral marketplace for their invaluable support and partnership in facilitating driver sales and support throughout the years that Chowmainsoft utilized their platform.   Driver licenses purchased through the DriverCentral marketplace can be migrated to the Chowmainsoft marketplace. If you need to migrate a license, please contact the Chowmain support team. Existing DriverCentral licenses for Chowmain drivers will continue to function, so migration is optional. The main advantage of migrating is gaining access to the latest driver versions.   Chowmain drivers will remain available for purchase on DriverCentral through the middle of September. Beginning September 13th, Chowmain drivers will be available solely on the Chowmainsoft marketplace, please sign up for the Chowmainsoft marketplace before this date to continue purchasing Chowmainsoft licences.   As part of our launch we will be providing 25% off all driver licence purchases with coupon code WELCOME (coupon valid until 14th October 2024).

Within an hour, my system which was completely dead was brought back to life!! If anyone is looking for help and is somewhat hands on don't hesitate contacting Mitch. My previous IT guru had recommended him and I completely understand why!

    Overview
Meet MRX SLM - a game-changing audio device that offers exceptional performance in a compact design. Unlike traditional AV receivers, this slim receiver from Anthem provides premium sound quality without taking up too much space.
MRX SLM is an ideal choice for installers who want to deliver top-notch audio in home theaters or media rooms. With 1 HDMI input and 1 output, plus eARC, it's easy to seamlessly integrate with your clients' smart TVs or projectors. MRX SLM supports Dolby Vision, HDR, and Hybrid Log Gamma, ensuring that Ultra HD signals pass through unaltered at speeds of up to 18.2 Gbps.
The MRX SLM offer a wide range of streaming options from local and internet sources including Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, and Bluetooth. This means you can easily stream music from your favorite devices directly to the MRX SLM for high-quality sound performance. With these convenient features, you can enjoy your music with ease and convenience, without sacrificing sound quality.

What hardware will this work on?
This driver will work for the following models. It may also work with future models.
Anthem MRX-SLM What cool things can this driver do?
This driver can set speaker profiles via any Control4 navigator by selecting the Anthem Settings 'device' under Listen. Feedback is provided for the current selected profile on the current input as well. This driver can set dolby digital dynamic range via any Control4 navigator by selecting the Anthem Settings 'device' under Listen. Feedback is provided for the current selected dolby digtal mode on the current input as well. This driver can set 'surround' modes via any touch screen navigator via selecting the receiver device under Listen. No feedback is provided as the receiver proxy does not provide feedback for surround modes. This driver will automatically select the streaming source if the AVR switches to a stream. This is done in case the end user uses Google Cast, Spotify Connect or Apple Airplay to turn on the AVR. This also happens upon manual control of Bluetooth. Cover Art, meta data and transport controls are available for streams. Feedback is instantaneous. This means you can program against events like Power On, Power Off, Input Switching, Surround Modes, Mute and More. Physically interacting with the MRX will fire these events and programming (eg turn off all AV devices in the room when the MRX is powered off). How much does this driver cost?
This driver is sponsored by Anthem and is FREE of charge
How do I find out more information about the driver?
Please see the links below for more information about the driver.

Docker on a Synology NAS working nicely. Just do the simple install for homebridge for docker.
Turned out DTI had to update their driver for older C4 Light Switchs...yeh mine are that old..... within 24 hours they had me a new driver and I'm up and running. Their solution seems to be a LOT faster than i expected as far as response time.

Prakash.Rola reacted to Brian Hamachek in Windows App / In-Wall Touch Screen Beta Test
I've created a new Control4 app for Windows PCs. It's intended to be run on a dedicated in-wall touch screen in Windows kiosk mode, but it can also be run as a normal app on any computer. It's intended to fill a similar role as the Control4 touch screens, but more responsive and better looking.
The app requires no drivers, no login, and no configuration. Simply run the app and it will locate your Control4 controller and connect to it automatically. It will use the same configuration as any other Control4 navigator. The app supports all your Control4 devices.
The app also adds new functionality. For example, if you have any Sonos devices, it provides a user interface to search Apple Music or Spotify and add songs to your queue. It also will display a QR code that allows your guests to add songs using their phones, even if they aren't on the same network.
If you would like to help beta-test the new app, please fill out this short form here: https://forms.gle/bXgGaujECV5Kiag97

Prakash.Rola reacted to cnicholson in Integrating Control4 Chime with Homekit
Not sure what your use case is, but you could create a (dummy) Programmable Switch in the DTI Siri driver, then "press" the (fake) buttons via programming off of the Chime button pressed event.  On the HomeKit side, you can program off the (dummy) Programmable Switch events.   I don't use cameras in Homekit, but I assume you can make it pop up live streams on your iPhone programatically.   Similarly, you could "press" another fake button on Chime motion events and have Homekit do something.
I do a similar thing to expose motion events from third party cameras to Control4, but it reverse.  My NVR (SecuritySpy) can fire off HomeKit events on, for example, human motion.  In Homekit, I program off those events to "relay" these events via fake devices created in Control4 Siri Driver (they show up on both the C4 and Homekit side), which I program off of on C4 side.
    Not sure if that helps.

We got this working pretty well (knock on wood) yesterday using the two "proxy" C4 light switches idea I mentioned above.   We use a Garage door experience button that is not connected to anything.  We program off the icon press and toggle the "control" light (if Garage is open, turn the "light" off, and vice versa).  Then, in HomeKit, I open the garage door (via MyQ) when the fake light turns on and vice versa.
For state tracking / feedback, when MyQ (on the HomeKit side) sees that the garage state changes to "closed," I turn the fake "state" light off (and vice versa).  Then, on the C4 side we program off this light proxy and change the state of the C4 Garage button to match.
Works great. I can operate Garage door from Siri voice commands, from HomeKit buttons, from C4 navigators, from C4 programming (e.g., from DS2 key codes) or from the physical manufacturer buttons on (real) garage wall and it all stays in sync.  A bit of a kludge, to be sure, but it works so far.

That got me thinking🤔 first but then it triggered we already have Custom light accessory. Now in Home app we can define Automation based on People Arriving or Leaving from House. With this i set the Custom Light to ON when I am at home and OFF when I leave from Home. This Custom Light feedback sent to Control4. In Control4 Programing based on Light State i have Set a Boolean Variable.
Now i can use this Variable in Condition to Only Execute Programing if i am at Home.
