  1. From time to time we add buttons to the suite but it largely depends on demand. Our last update including all the white good buttons what work nicely with our IFTTT driver and also with our smart plug/outlet drivers.
  2. The camera proxy solution is a pretty cool hack. The problem is that it only works on certain navigators so we have chosen not to implement it this way. We have mapped the Hue values directly to a single slider and saturation to another. i wouldn’t say that tp-link is better than Hue but it does have a few differences. Mainly being • doesn’t require a hub • doesn’t require a mesh (does require wifi to the bulb though) i think the advantage of the TP-Link range is that it has outlets, wall switches (for entire circuits) and bulbs. The only thing that they are missing is a strip but hey that’s why we have Control4 right? Can just integrate something like a yeelight wifi strip. I am not sure what the PAR30 bulb is but everything requires constant power. You can use the TP-Link Kasa app to program the default state when power is restored. This can be set to restore previous state or whatever preset you prefer (eg 100% brightness or plain 0%) As you are using Control4 I highly encourage that you do not physically power off the bulbs but use keypads, touchscreens, or any other form of integrated UI to control the lights. For ease of programming we have added keypad bindings that allow for on (preset level), off and toggle with LED feedback. Wall switches are not available in the UK. see link below for TP-Link UK website https://www.tp-link.com/uk/
  3. MAJOR UPDATE Support for additional TP-Link smart home products - LED Bulbs, Wall Switches and Outlets (see original post) Support for dynamic ip addresses. Self healing + auto discovery
  4. Chowmain is pleased to release the TP-Link Smart Home suite of drivers for Control4. These products can be retrofit as they are wifi based (no hub required) and are extremely cost effective with bulbs starting from $19.99USD MSRP, smart plugs/outlets starting from $24.99USD MSRP and wall switches from $39.99USD MSRP. Products are easily accessible and can be purchased off the shelf from major retailers such as Best Buy, Walmart, Harvey Norman and more. The majority of the products do not require any electrical installation and as such can be installed in minutes. Integration includes full two way control/feedback on/off dimming color saturation temperature Auto discovery and self healing means you don't need to set static IP addresses on the network. Just install via the TP-Link Kasa app and add our driver in. Ability to connect driver to keypad buttons (with LED feedback) to allow for quick on/off/toggle programming Ability to use energy monitoring in HS110 outlets for automatic selection and room off of Playstation, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and other manually controlled device For more details click link below. https://www.chowmainsoft.com/tplink-control4
  5. Please submit a ticket to our helpdesk and our Australian and US helpdesk agents will walk you through the setup. https://help.drivercentral.io/ Alternatively Control4 Technical Support in the UK are quite familiar with our driver so they may be able to assist if you prefer someone in your timezone.
  6. You would choose the icon that best represents so that your system can switch to the PC running hyperspin. Arcade would be my choice.
  7. The answer to that question depends on why you want to create drivers. Is it for your personal system? Is it as a business? Regardless as both @TheWizard mentions writing drivers isn't about the language but more about the underlying communications protocols that the products require for communications. A solid understanding of TCP, UDP, HTTP, UPnP, Websockets and more is required to get started. From a business standpoint though it is a niche market so you have a limited amount of potential sales. The maximum drivers you can ever sell is limited based on the number of systems installed (which is at current 1100 Control4 systems per week). That is of course if you go by licencing. You can always contract your services to manufacturers. That however is a bit harder as they need to have a reason to go to you for development rather than the competition. Hope that helps.
  8. All of our drivers keep the last state. So if you are running a trial it will disable after it runs out of time. If you have purchased a licence it will keep the last state (valid) indefinately.
  9. you are sending the serial commands back to the proxy. You need to send the serial command to the serial port
  10. Update Sky Channels driver will now utilise the Sky Q box for channel meta data if the IP address of Sky Q is entered in the driver. If the Sky Q box is not responsive then it will revert back to the Sky web service for data based on the selected Region.
  11. The update will be out next week and will be issued via an auto update. Note that you may need to add in the Sky Q IP address via the drivers properties which can be done via Composer HE.
  12. I have made a new version which now uses the Sky Q box as a source for the channel information. it still uses the Sky website for the channel artwork and now playing data. If anyone wants to beta test this please PM me.
  13. Thanks for the feedback. The sky web service we were using was discontinued. As such we worked yesterday on finding a new solution. Sounds like the solution we implemented has limited channels. We will look into this and provide an updated fix asap.
  14. Thanks guys. Sky changed the tv.sky.com endpoint to point to something else entirely. As such we have worked hard and figured out a new method of obtaining this data. tbe driver has been updated and pushed out to all sites. it should be working now. also all dealers should download the latest copy so that they don’t install an older copy of the driver.
  15. Weird. Our support desk escalates tickets to us when they can’t resolve it and I haven’t received any for oppo As mentioned our driver does support resolution feedback but not Feedback for HDR state.
  16. Yeah Control4 withdrew it as well for the same reasons. It doesn't work with the new FireTV firmware.
  17. You either need to use the Houselogix fire tv driver or purchase a videostorm IR USB dongle and use the built in IRUSB functionality. The IRUSB is more rock solid, a quicker solution and will not break with future firmware updates. Given what we know the firetv IP control may break shortly if Amazon updates the firmware of older firetv devices to match the firetv 4k firmware.

  19. Apart from net purchases per year there are also other requirements for achieving those levels. The biggest point being trained staff. Authorised - 1 PCNA/1 APC Gold - 1 PCNA / 2 APC Plantinum - 1 PCNA / 3 APC Diamond - 1 PCNA / 4 APC
  20. Steve reached out to me via PM on this. Answer is it can be mapped to custom 1,2,3 on the SR260 and Hash/Star on the SR250 & SR260. This is done via Composer HE or Composer Pro on the driver properties.
  21. I love c4forums. Just finding less and less time to visit. Its hard to find time for my passion c4 drivers even! Anyway more contracts for us means more free drivers! Come by the office. I'll show you all the stuff we're working on.
  22. Yeah forums are the worst way of troubleshooting problems. I won't be on the forums as much over the next 7 weeks. Have 5 contracts to finish up and a 2 week holiday. Email will always get through to me.
