  1. Here are the products you can purchase in the US https://www.zappiti.us.com/
  2. Yes you can mount a remote NFS share and have Zappiti scan your media files in. It has played every file format / codec i have thrown at it without skipping a beat. This includes 4K Dolby atmos rips in both ISO, H.264, H.265, 8 bit and 10 bit encodes. Yes it is a perfect replacement for a Dune where you just want it to work. Most people don't have the patience to manage their own servers. Not saying that Plex is bad but just saying that most dealers i know of have had more problems setting it up due to lack of experience and knowledge of Plex. They usually just want something that is easy and quick to install. We have a Zappiti 4K Mini in our office. You can install 2 x 8TB drives into that particular model which should be plenty of storage for most people. If it isn't enough then as mentioned you can mount network shares from a NAS (or utilise USB attached storage on the read of the Zappiti unit). Yes the Zappiti NAS RIP is an awesome piece of kit. Just drop it in and it will rip the disc and the Player will automatically import it into the library. Due to the way it does things it is not legal in certain countries due to copyright law. In such countries we recommend Kaleidescape.
  3. It should. I’ve never tried. Sales for our Plex driver have pretty much dried up since we launched Zappiti. People love the simplicity of Zappiti. It’s basically similar to a dune but has library support. As such you don’t need a powerful NAS to run a server as everything is handled by the player. Also Zappiti players are so cheap.
  4. If you are looking at upgrading your media player experience i would recommend either Zappiti or Kaleidescape. If you have ripped your own collection (which it sounds like you have) then Zappiti is the way to go. Here are some screenshots of both solutions on Control4.
  5. This is the reason why our Kodi Full driver always relaunches Kodi on room off. So that you can browse movies when its in an off state. If you try to browse movies and Kodi is not running it will show an error message telling you Kodi is not running and will launch Kodi.
  6. This is probably the most straight forward and affordable solution. You just utilise the existing somfy rts remotes to learn into the Bond Bridge before integration to Control4. The Bond app for iOS or Android will walk you through how to pair the blinds. As such you don't need to touch the physical blinds at all ever. Bond Bridge is Wifi and usb powered so just throw them around the house. Most houses can live off of 1 or 2 Bond Bridges (1 per floor). I have yet to see a house use 3 Bond Bridges.
  7. If you want to dim lamps change the bulbs to smart bulbs. TP-Link and Yeelight are my picks as they both work well have dimming, color temp and RGBW variants. I have a mix of both at my place and they work great.
  8. If you know how to program then you can program the dry contacts to send HTTP requests to our generic TCP driver. https://www.chowmainsoft.com/generic-tcp-command
  9. If you have a Mitsubishi Electric Domestic, Mr.Slim and City Multi then use one of these. it is wifi based so no cable running needed. jusf plug it into the indoor unit and if will provide bidirectional control and feedback https://www.intesis.com/products/ac-interfaces/wifi-gateways/mitsubishi-electric-ascii-wifi-ac-me-ac-wmp-1?ordercode=INWMPMIT001I000
  10. One of my favourites is Escea. We have IP control over it. https://www.chowmainsoft.com/escea
  11. We had one ticket about this. Followed up with driverCentral admins and they say it’s fine. We have had several purchases in the past few hours with PayPal as well.
  12. Yes the current.snow.1h is what i am using. To be honest its the only thing we get. Its polled once every 15 minutes so its at that polling point. I am not sure if it is a total accumulation or for that particular hour. In regards to double nested there is no need for an 'and' nor is order important.
  13. Snow and rain are in mm https://openweathermap.org/api/one-call-api
  14. Click on 'Help' Click on 'About Composer Home / Pro', Click on 'Copy to Clipboard' Paste it here. Certain versions of Composer have debug logging on by default. controller logs to the filesystem not to your computer.
  15. No our generic tcp driver does not support web sockets
  16. Please submit a ticket or call our office for support (AEDT business hours). I didn’t develop this driver myself so I can’t really help you on this one and the guy that did doesn’t visit forums.
  17. Just make sure that you are not breaching any non disclosure agreements by posting that information.
  18. Control4 used to have something simliar. The heavy duty power controller. Don't think it was used that often. It might be worth reaching out to Quyen or Noel from Control4 to discuss the viability of the product in their market. https://www.control4.com/docs/product/heavy-duty-power-controller/professional-wiring-guide/english/latest/heavy-duty-power-controller-professional-wiring-guide-rev-a.pdf
  19. Don't think you want to do that. Most OAuth2 based systems require token exchanges and token refreshes periodically. Most of the ones i have seen range from hourly to at max once a month. Most of them are weekly. Honestly if it gets to that stage a real driver should be written.
  20. My theater has a 2m wide blind and although it is slower than the other shades I have it does work. In regards to how powerful it actually is you’ll have to reach out to the manufacturer with that question.
  21. Hi guys, Back in May i had the idea to start the 'SMART HOME PRO TIPS' series of informational newsletters through our mailing lists in the hope that we can pass on knowledge and educate both integrators and consumers about which products to choose from and what to do to create the ultimate smart home! Our first newsletter was about easy ceiling fan integration into Control4. We just sent out a new one today about easy blind / shade integration into Control4. Hopefully you guys find it useful. I just installed the Oz Smart Things Oz Remote Smart Blinds at my place and at $399.99 AUD for a 3 pack it is bang for buck. Was really easy to install and took about 2 minutes to do each blind. Will let you guys know how the solar holds up over the coming months. If you arn't subscribed to our newsletter you can view the first issue via the above newsletter links.

  23. If it’s 8 timers only you should do the math to align the timer up to whenever you have set it once off first off. After that 24 hour repeating timers will do.
