RyanE reacted to Cyknight in Neeo Remote icon sizes
Wonder if the driver got updated with a different (likely correct) icon size for Neeo specifically, and the old Neeo isn't grabbing the resized files (they tend to get 'stuck' not reloading updated driver icons)

Not something i care about since we have unlimited data. Most people over in Australia have unlimited data but pay for different speeds.

Thanks for the clarification.
Not sure a lot of dealers would want to do this at a 'reasonable price', either. Evaluating bids is not an easy task, and you would have to take a *lot* of assumptions into account, and you wouldn't have access to information the original dealers who created the proposals, or to those dealers.
Even looking at the two proposals above, there's no way to compare them, since they're for a completely different feature set and scope.
Also, dealers are going to know *their* cost for goods and labor, and are going to look at a bid at *their* level of expectations, and their level of attention to detail. For example, some dealers are strict MSRP and bid labor accordingly, and some dealers include the cost of labor for a part in the part itself, after having installed that part enough times to know what that offset should be.
Unfortunately, this is a hard problem, with no simple solution.

If by 'bid for robustness', what are they bidding for? Control4 dealers can't sell hardware out of their area, at risk of losing their dealership.
Some still do it, but most aren't going to think bidding on some "rando on a public forum" job is a very good strategy.

Nah it's the other way because you say it 😏
The specific sales requirements likely differ per country or even state or region somewhat, at least on the sales side.
The biggest difference between a 'silver' and other levels above it are mostly based on sales number, at least in the sense that the minimum OTHER requirements aren't hard to reach once you're at the 'silver' level to begin with. So to GET 'silver' or up, there are certain (other) requirements as well, as I mentioned in my earlier post - but they aren't anything a company that's been in business for a few years shouldn't have attained anyway.
Oh and it isn't 'Epic' it's 'Pinnacle' that I meant - which is a separate designation (no idea where 'epic' came from - probably tired). Also note that 'Diamond' status is NOT part of the silver/gold/etc line, but is in fact the second tier of the Pinnacle status. While lifetime sales are a requirement of these designations as well, it's a pretty minor target here, and years in business and/or years doing Control4 are much more prevalent.
Basically, a 'silver' or up status is a small indication that the company likely has been doing this for some time. You could argue that is a positive thing, as it COULD be an indication that the company is doing relatively well (as in financially) so isn't likely to go away any time soon, and that there's going to be a certain degree of experience.
I will stress though that NOT being a 'silver' etc dealer doesn't mean that dealer DOESN'T have the experience at all - as the most likely thing missing is the sales volume.
Not to mention that experience alone doesn't mean someone is actually 'good' let alone the right fit for you.
Abbreviated version:
-Silver/Gold/Platinum is mainly based on sales numbers, though there are some other (not very high brow) requirements as well
-Pinnacle/Diamond (pinnacle) is mainly based on years of doing business and of doing Control4 systems.
Neither is a guarantee the dealership is good, or the right dealer for you, and nothing will beat talking to the companies themselves and/or reliable existing customer feedback (referral). Even then, we're all people, and sometimes certain people just don't work well together, it happens.

In New York and New Jersey , each dealer level has requirements beyond just sales.
First, to even be considered a Control4 Dealer , you need a physical showroom location that cannot be a residential location
In addition to sales volume , You also need a certain amount of staff (cannot be a one man or even a 2 man show ) that will be required to have specific training.

Yeah, any programming that fires off commands to devices that take a while to come online (Lighting, Zigbee Thermostats, possibly Wifi devices, etc.) will not execute in the "When Project is Loaded" event.
msgreenf is right on track, and it's what I do on my programming in there...

Yes, but the network connection from the KNX network driver may not be established by that time.
If you want to ensure the event fired, I'd toggle a relay or something that's connected on the controller itself.

I would add a delay to the beginning of maybe 30 seconds because stuff still occurring when the project loads

If a client put my proposal on a public forum for input I'd return their deposit and end our working relationship. This just isn't a productive way to proceed. If you don't trust your dealer find another one. if you have questions about what you're buying ask your dealer. This is like hiring a personal chef. By nature you're outsourcing some control to someone else. That's built entirely on trust. This action demonstrates a complete lack of trust.

It’s why I mentioned be specific on your needs. What audio and where. What you need with TVs, HVAC etc and what they need to do
your responses have been vague and that could be why you got two drastically different quotes.
if I told two travel agents my wife and I want a vacation someone could book us for 4 weeks in Europe and another agent could book us for 4 days in Sedona. Both are nice but night and day difference
please give details on what you need, what you have, what you need to buy, what wiring is needed etc

It has been broken for a while. It also happens in the Savant ecosystem. I finally just bought C4 zigbee modules and put them in my Yale locks.

RyanE got a reaction from South Africa C4 user in Custom Button & NEEO
It does for things like device names, devices in certain menus, etc., but custom button data is one of the things that the Neeo caches locally, since it's unlikely to change very often.
'Refresh Navigators' causes the Neeo driver(s) to dump their caches.

I'm in the process of updating my VSCode extension I started long ago. I actually just added support for updating Lua script today after Ryan's comment.
The formatting of the driver is quite different and there's no modifications inside of XML anymore. Most sections are broken out into JSON files for their specific purposes (properties, commands, events, connections, etc) and provide a webview for modification, you can still edit the underlying JSON file as well (backed by JSON schemas)
I've also been able to include some improvements for things that bothered me, for example you can now specify the amount of HDMI connections you want to generate rather than copy pasting a bunch of XML blocks:
Properties & Webview example:
Auto completion of functions:
Signature helpers:
All that being said I still haven't pushed a release as there are some issues to work out around the UI capability section.

We have same and no zigbee issues.

RyanE got a reaction from Neo1738 in EA-1 at each TV versus a few on Matrix?
I'm kind of surprised how well Zigbee propagates at my house, because all floors have concrete, due to the radiant tubing install.
That said, it's only 1.5" of concrete, with 3/4" PEX-AL-PEX tubing, not a full rebar / slab per floor, and of course the walls are stick-framed, which is pretty Zigbee-transparent.
