smarch
Hi again everyone.I have determined that one of my dimmers is dead. It will not dim or turn off the light at all. It stays on. I replaced the dimmer with another one, and it works fine. All my dealer said was "sounds like it's blown" no help to resolve.Any thing I can do with this? it isnt new, probably a few years old. Are they fixable? I hate just throwing it out and having to replace it, especially with the cost of them.Any ideas? Thanks
ILoveC4
Let it sit a bit and try it again, in a single fixture scenario and see if it still behaves that way. This happens when the inrush current is too high and it essentially welds it shut. Fixable? or landfill?Cheerslandfill. However, if you need a zigbee extender somewhere you could use this (I'd imagine). You could get a tabletop kit for a keypad and install this in it. Put it in a closet or something and let it act as a zigbee repeater.Pretty lame use for it though. I'd throw it away. But before I did, I would take it apart and take pictures of the internals. I'm just weird like that...Edit: Typo.
