mwarchut
Another quick question?? What is the output to the TV from the HC-300?? My TV is about 20 feet from the rest of the gear and I have always used HDMI to get there. I may need to run some cable if it's not HDMI.Mike
cvlboy
^ component (red, blue, green) to produce 720p
mwarchut
But everything doesn't run through the HC-300 right? It has to switch the TV inputs back and forth right?
crazybuppie
No the HC300 outputs component video at 720p for your onscreen navigation. It does not do video switching. It does have IR and 232 outputs to control your TV for switching inputs, but it doesn't do the switching like a receiver does.
mwarchut
so then everything should probably run through my receiver and let it do the switching. Gotcha.
crazybuppie
Yes that way every source can be upconverted to HDMI, and the TV wont have to change inputs.
mwarchut
Well the local dealer is coming out Monday afternoon to do a consultation to see what I have for home theater gear. I also have a DLNA server, multiple NAS boxes, IP Cameras, Security system and who knows what else they can hook to it.. lol
