smarch
Here is the current problem. When I hit the big "4" button on the remote I get the menu and can choose watch tv. The tv switches to the correect input no problem. When everything is off, and I hit the "watch" button on the remote (SR250), choose cable box the tv comes on and goes to the wrong input. I have to hit the "4 button again, and go through the menu. I thought it was trying to change input before the tv was on and booted up, however it's set to a 20 second delay before issuing other commands after turn on. I also use the wakeup up. The too turns the tv on, but goes to the wrong input. It is a new 46" LG lcd tv. Any ideas? Thanks
ILoveC4
Have your dealer check your bindings.
jwhitaker@revit
have dealer check the power on delay till next command in the driver. or the bindings. often on tv's the input command may be sent before the tv is powered all the way up. changing the after power command delay can fix this. smarch
Thanks for the quick reply's. The delay in changing input is set to 20 seconds. It comes on, waits and then changes to the wrong input. I did ask my installer guy and he said all connections are correct. This only happens when trying to use the watch button. Going through the menu works perfect.
ILoveC4
Do you have a default input set?
smarch
Apparently the default input is HDMI1 that is from the receiver with the blue ray and cable box attached. The HC300 is connected directly to the tv on Component 1 input. When i hit watch, on the sr250 and then pick Cable everything comes on (to the right input) and then switches to HDMI2? There are no connections made to HDMI2?Thanks again.
ichbinbose
is being controlled by rs232 or IR?I had one install where the LG display didn't respond to all of the 232 comands, but it worked perfectly with IR
jgavin
Another problem with TV drivers are how discreet they are; for example if they have direct input to hdmi 1 & hdmi 2 then that's an easy driver edit. If they require menu>toggle down to hdmi 1 or hdmi 2 then it requires additional programming to keep the inputs from getting incorrectly toggled. smarch
Mine is controlled by IR I believe the problem may be that it's using a macro to get to the right input. Problem is I have no idea how to fix it.
ILoveC4
I'd bet you're right. Do you have Compost Pro?
srhamy
I would bet LG has discrete input codes available. Try these:http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/files/rcfiles.cgi?area=pronto&db=discrete&br=lg&dv=2008television
ichbinbose
yes LG does have discreate IR codes. I have had no problem using the ones in composer
smarch
It worked! Thanks for all the help, it was a very annoying problem. The link to the discrete codes was the key. The code I had didn't work, and the macro to try to change the input was doing something weird.Cheers!
