bill
Is there a way to see how the six button keypads are mapped (assigned/hardcoded) in CHE 3.4.0 ? Also anyway to change them or is that a dealer only function? Can you program an additional light to a button? For example if button #1 is assigned to turn on the foyer pendant can a program also run to turn on the porch light? What is the difference in Press and Single Tap? Thanks
chopedogg88
No way to see the connection bindings in HE (or change them). As a dealer/programmer, its one of my pet-peeves. Wish they would make the Connections section visible but read-only in HE. Yes you can have a button control multiple lights - typically that's done via linking the button to an Advanced Lighting Scene in connections. Could also be done in programming, but the LED on the button won't automatically track active/inactive status of the scene, like it does when using connection bindings. Single tap fires only if it's pressed once (so doesn't trigger on double and triple tap) Press will be a hair faster (as it doesn't wait for the 1 to 3 count) to react vs single tap, and is there for for the when pressed do this, when released stop doing that thing type of programming
RAV
A button with a dealer connection can also have HE programming happen, as mentioned the LED will only follow the connection, and you can’t prohibit the connection from happening. a single tap is a press followed by a release within the devices parameters settings for tap time. Can the dealer see all the connections at one time and do a screen shot to share?

Is the dealer connection executed first and then the HE program to an Advanced Lighting Scene after? Does it make sense to do the ALS on Release instead of Press? RAV
When I setup a client, I use a lot of scenes for lighting connections, allows the end user to tweak without me, even without HE by using the editor in app. msgreenf
