Audio Zones Mixing

Hi All,

This is wracking my brain .... so thought I would ask all the experts here. Scenario:

Equipment:

  1. 6x6 Leaf Matrix,
  2. Triad 8 Zone Amp.

Very simple setup. Each Room has a zone mapped to the Amp to control the in roof speakers in the room. Rooms in question Main Bedoom (Zone 1) and Main Bedroom Bathroom (Zone 2).

What's happening = No matter what audio source I select in the "Main Bedroom Bathroom" room it just mirrors the "Main Bedroom". Each room has a manual audio adjustment panel on the wall that controls the power to the speakers in the roof. Currently I have to turn the audio panel to OFF in the Main Bedroom Bathroom because even if the room is OFF, if I start watching TV or listening to music in the Main Bedroom it just automatically streams to the Main Bedroom Bathroom (even if the room is OFF).

I started checking the wiring (physical) and the wiring is separated and in the correct zone allocation at the back of the AMP. So I can't see any physical wiring mixture. I have also checked in the programing of each of the rooms (Power Off, Video, Audio Selection) nothing in that section. Like I said the Main Bedroom Bathroom is off but audio is still playing in the Bathroom. Interestingly enough if I go to the Main Bedroom Bathroom and then listen to something (spotify, etc etc) it doesnt play in the Bathroom it starts up the Main Bedroom and starts playing in that room..... Its more confused than me at the moment :D

I then went to the bindings & properties (to see if I have any global settings), also checked at the back of the amp to see if any of the global or linking dip switches were on (not the case) and they all look right unless I am not seeing it - Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated before I do my head in :) :

Do you have a Media Scene set up?  Or have you got a Room Control driver that links multiple rooms. Both can be activated / deactivated by programming.

Hmm didnt think of those two options - let me check Media Scene's and see if I can find a Room Control driver - I dont recall installing one

OK just checked - No Media Scenes setup (empty) and cant find any Room Control Driver either - thank you for the idea - can add that to the learnings but not that.

Get the Room Control Driver. It is much better than Media Scenes. I started with Media Scenes, but happily deleted them once I got the Room Control Driver.

Thanks - In this case I dont want the rooms to be merged I just want them to work individually like the default way they should work, so don't think the Room Control Driver would really help here or am I reading this incorrectly?

Do you have independent volume still?
If not, then either the rooms are physically wired together, or buried programming to mimic.

I would delete the two rooms and start fresh. That'll clear any wonky programming.

Physical wiring I have checked, I am going to double check again as I was also thinking this.....

Man deleting those rooms I am already feeling the pain :D but you might be right that's the only way.
