Spectrum router, IP address issues.

Hi - having issues with a Spectrum/Unifi setup.

Spectrum modem goes into Spectrum router.  From there, it goes to a Unifi 24 port unmanaged POE switch.  Unifi WAPs, cloud key etc are plugged into the switch.  Here's the issue - if I plug a laptop directly into the router, I get a working internet connection with an IP address in the 192.168.1.x range.  If I plug into the switch, I can't access the internet, and the laptop (and the cloud key) gets an IP address in the range 192.168.50.x

What's going on here ?  The damn Spectrum router is locked down - it doesn't have a proper web portal, just directs you to an app, which doesn't contain normal settings like LAN/DHCP etc.

Are you sure it's unmanaged? Fairly sure ubiquiti don't make 24p unmanaged switches

What I should have said more accurately is a managed switch that isn't being managed ;)

I'd definitely manage it.. As It still isn't like an unmanaged switch without settings (stuff like stp is enabled out of the box)
