DawnGordon
This is the best build yet. No more waiting to connect to the network! Time2Jet
msgreenf
Agree. Sadly this is likely the bill that should have shipped originally. DawnGordon
DawnGordon
I think they have most of the features finished. I was a never a Neeo fan, so I'm curious if there are any Neeo features that are not yet present in the Halo?
Time2Jet
My personal opinions:I knew firmwares would continue to add any missing features as well as new features. They have proven this to be the case. Driver developments to take advantage of the power of the platform will continue to follow. I think the ui/icon issues that are being complained of will be addressed. Have a feeling we’ll see a new button (experience/etc) style that works well with the Halo. Battery spec was a huge miss/flaw. Otherwise, as I have said since before launch, the Halo platform remotes are in the elite category of control system remotes. DanITman
Its still missing the one click to content like a neeo. Its only one click to YTTV, YT, Netflix, Plex on the neeo. No reason Halo shouldn't be the same. If its on the charger or not, pick it up and use it and get to the content that I want.

It shows room favorites on it's main screen, and you can select them just like you can on the Neeo. If you've favorited a mini app, like Netflix, Hulu, etc., it starts as soon as you press it, just like on the Neeo. I guess you mean you want it out of the 'clock' screen when you pick it up. I guess that does make sense. RyanE

Just give me the buttons when I pick it up. RyanE and Time2Jet

What build was this and how do we get this elevated? My two new halos are pathetic one day devices. This is obscene and an embarrassment for battery technologists. Cyknight
19 hours ago, ekohn00 said: 5ghz has a higher frequency and more features than 2.4 and requires more power. Higher frequency as such doesn't mean more power for, increase due to frequency will depend mostly on coverage of the wifi network. Lower coverage means devices will attune their signal strength to a higher level, just increasing power drain. More or less features in 5ghz such multi antennae etc are device dependant. As such, these features wont increase power use as such between 2.4 or 5 - within a device that has those hardware features regardless of what is used. Higher bandwidth also doesn't increase power usage, as this is intrinsic to the higher frequency. There is just more 'room' for data in the frequency if you will. Now, overall you'll likely to find a small increase in power drain when using 5Ghz at least as by nature, a 5Ghz signal coverage is less than 2.4 so the device, any device, would increase power to its antennae (in order to transmit back). But this is not really a 'Halo thing' but is due to external factors. That said, a dedicated 5Ghz network will cause less power usage then a combined network as the device won't be scanning both frequencies (assuming it's 'smart' enough to do so) and switch between them Boiler
