Adding Subwoofer

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am on HC800 upgraded to 3.3.1 (last upgrade) and using LU862 Matrix for Video and C4-16ZAMSV3-B for Audio with PAMP-100 Amp.

Big House with lots of zones and speakers and everything is working with SR260 remotes. At some point i would plan on upgrading to Core 5 system but for now the HC800 is working flawlessly with 70 zigbee lights and much more.

Now that I have seen some videos on adding sub on Triad 8x8 switches is there any way I can add a sub on my audio switch driver that is from 2013 and tell composer to pair with zone? I have wireless sub that can be place remotely but can't figure out how to pair with zone.

Is it possible in this setup?

I’ve been looking for a replacement for my really old 8 zone matrix amp.

The anthem matrix has dedicated sub out for the rooms. You should be able to connect your wireless sub to these. BTW, that’s a great idea if you can get them to work with no delay throughout the house vs wired.

Take a look: https://www.anthemav.com/products-current/series=mdx-series/model=mdx-16/page=overview

Well the Anthem MDX-16 is a matrix amplifier, whereas Triads are separate matrix and Amps.  Typically in most of my installs I use a Triad AMS16 with Triad 8-zone amps (the new 125w/channel ones are great)
