brucecampbell
Hi, I'm about to install a heat pump/air conditioning unit to complement our gas fire. (Simply due to the cost of LPG going through the roof here in New Zealand thanks to the brain-dead lefties) I'm just wondering if there are any useful integration ideas with C4? I currently do not use any C4 thermostats so currently don't see any point in having this integrated, but wanted to check to see what useful options are available anyway. Thanks. alanchow
If you're in new zealand get a mitsubishi heatpump. Their IP controllable ones are compatible with this driver out of the box. https://chowmain.software/drivers/control4-echonet-lite
SMHarman
https://chowmain.software/drivers/elan-intesisbox Is another of Alan's drivers.

CoolPlug has been suggested but that's $1k plus of hardware!

Having said that our newest Home Assistant integration does through a custom component https://github.com/dlarrick/hass-kumo Home Assistant driver here https://chowmain.software/drivers/control4-home-assistant SMHarman

It's hard to find any info on IP control other than it comes with optional wifi control. Is this 'wifi control' all that is needed for your driver to communicate? Cheers. DarioH
I think its best to use a Thermostat Interface Module for Mitsubishi. It has a lot of compatibility, and it integrates into a normal thermostat. In our case we use the Aprilaire from Control 4, or I susppose an Ecobee will do it (haven't tried). It works pretty well. https://mylinkdrive.com/USA/Controls/InputOutput_Modules/Legacy_Thermostat_Interface_for_Module/PAC_US444CN_1?product
