iOS app not connecting away from home

Just in the last few days I cannot connect to my controller when I’m away from home.

iPhone 12 Pro Max

latest iOS 17.2.1

yes, 4Sight Subscription is active

I can connect when I’m on my home WiFi but not on 5G.

i uninstalled the app, and reinstalled it, didn’t work.

any known issues with this lately, I’ve next had any issues in the past.

@antneed,
I'm not aware of any outstanding issues.  Can you attempt to connect over 5G, then email yourself the mobile app logs, and DM them to me?  Once I have your logs, I can have an iOS engineer take a look.

 

The steps to get you mobile app logs are below:

Getting Mobile Logs (New Settings UI)

  • Menu
  • Settings
  • Support
  • Support Settings
  • Email/Share Logs

 

Getting Mobile Logs (Old Settings UI)

  • Menu
  • Settings
  • Preferences (Top right corner)
  • Email/Share Logs

I have had a similar issue off and on connecting to two different properties. Thank you @Darin, PM C4 CX,UI for looking into this. If it happens again I will DM you a log too.

That’s interesting I’ve tried that when it happened to me and didn’t fix it in my case. Very strange

We have been looking into issues when switching properties over the last couple of days and hope to get a fix into one of the next app updates. Connection issues when simply launching the app would be a new issue. Send logs to Darin or myself and we will get them into the right hands to be reviewed.

While we are talking about little bugs on the iOS app, let me add one more that arrived recently.  The presets (PTZ set-points) for camera viewing have disappeared on the iPad app.  If you know where the buttons are, you can still press them but the buttons and text have vanished!  As far as I recall this is an iPad issue only (ie iPhone and touchscreens work fine).
