Uh-Wise
Most of the Fans we control have light fixtures in the center. Sometimes it's a surprise fan change last minute. And having to waste a gang on "Fan Light" sucks for everyone.

And having to waste a gang on "Fan Light" sucks for everyone. This fan speed controller will allow multispeed bi-directional control and feedback over the fan and also dim the attached lighting load with full control integration https://www.homedepot.com/p/Universal-Smart-Wi-Fi-4-Speed-Ceiling-Fan-Remote-Works-with-Google-Assistant-SmartThings-and-Alexa-99434/311264804 Some fans already have this technology built in so no need to retrofit eg https://www.minkagroup.net/f870l-tcl.html https://www.minkagroup.net/f864l-hbz.html https://www.minkagroup.net/f747l-hbz-aw.html https://www.minkagroup.net/f868l-bn.html If however the fan your customer surprises you with is RF controlled then you can probably utilise the Bond Bridge which will learn the RF code and replicate it. https://bondhome.io/ All of this is possible via this driver https://www.chowmainsoft.com/bond-control4 Uh-Wise
Jakelay
One FYI on the bone mentioned bond setup from Home Depot - if your fan does not have a mechanical way to reverse the fan direction, this setup does not allow for that. We have a fan that has no pull string or switch to change direction, it was all done via the remote. when we switched out the original remote receiver above the fan with this one, we lost the ability to reverse direction. Not a huge deal in this room but something to be aware of. Oddly, if we do a certain key press sequence (haven’t figured it out on purpose but have had it happen by accident twice) the fan did reverse. So I believe there is a way to do a workaround but out of the box there is no reverse function built in. Something to consider if you don’t have the mechanical switch or pull string. Otherwise, it works great and saves the state unlike the bond bridge itself (we have this for a few other fans and works fine if you don’t override with the original fan remote). If anyone has an idea about how to use this setup that enables reverse direction with the remote/C4 I’d love to know!

I’m not sure of your setup but on one of my fans, I simply recorded the RF (or may have been IR - I can’t recall) for the reverse control to the bond as a normal toggle. I then programmed against this in C4.

Thank you - I did do this for a few of our fans but the one that we use most was getting ‘confused’ between states of the lights so we kept the bond bridge on a few fans and changed to the bond receiver/remote setup mentioned above and replaced the receiver in the one fan. Unfortunately, that fan doesn’t have any mechanical way to reverse direction and this Home Depot/Bond setup doesn’t have a reverse function. . .at least not natively. Wondering if anyone has figured out a work around. Some pattern of key presses somehow sent a command that reversed the direction on two occasions, I just can’t figure out what they were or if there is an easier way.
