Driver development using "websocket.c4z" from SDK

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

First post here, so hopefully this is in the right location...

I'm attempting to use the websocket.c4z demo from the Driverworks SDK.  At this stage it's unmodified.  When loaded into Composer Pro, running with Virtual Director, whenever I try to test basic functionality it fails with the output

LUA_ERROR [id: 12][name: WebSocket Demo][file: websocket.c4z][method: OnPropertyChanged]: [string "Lua Code"]:29: attempt to index local 'DemoSocket' (a nil value)

In the field "WebSocket URL", I'm using the string "http://websocket.org" (which works fine from a browser)

So...  My question is, is this demo driver still relevant?  Is there more documentation somewhere?

Edit:  The end goal here is to try and establish two-way comms using an SSL certificate.  Only after getting that working can I then think about driver implementation.

Thanks

D.

Probably best to post this in the driverworks section of the official dealer forum.
