Video storm dongle setup

Recommended Posts

I have a USB dongle connected to my android box. I had to disconnect the box today to get it updated at my IPTV provider. Same firmware on both devices still.

when I connected it back I have no remote control access any longer. I don’t remember how to set it up again , even though I did it originally. I’m stuck on the following screen.

Uncheck "enable GC protocol".  Then update the IRUSB app (from the Play store).     (this just gets you the latest software)

You probably lost connection because the IP address of your Android box changed.  It should be on a reserved or static ip.

The city turn off the power in our neighborhood  for a few hours. Long enough for my back up AC to run out. Once again, we’ve lost all control of our TV box. I have static IP address. I’ve update the firmware and I think everything is configured correctly. Generally it just starts to work eventually.

im thinking IR may be a better solution than this?

any suggestions?

What type of Android box is this?  What is the Android OS version?

It shows 7.1.2. I tried to update but it says I’m up to date even though it’s an older box.

Buzz TV XPL Basic
This is the device my TV company provides.

Please send a screen shot of the configuration page in the irusb app.

Everything is updated to V225.
How can I setup the device to control the box again?

There is no setup required in the app.  Delete your C4 driver and re install the latest version from our web site.  Then connect it via the devices static IP.  Finally, make sure your "connections" in navigator and properly assigned.
