Jane M.
I recently installed a new C4 OS 3.1 system in my house and there must be a BUG issue because randomly, every few days (sometimes even hours), the system wide volume that controls the music playback, doorbell volume, etc gets lowered. It's either lowering to zero % or the system is going on mute. Either way, there is no audio that will play out of my speakers (so i can't listen to music and worse, i can't hear my doorbell that plays thru the speakers). I've had to call the techs twice to log in remotely and fix. It's a simple fix as they raise the volume level. But why does this keep happening? Is it happening to anyone else? Matt Lowe
what volume level is getting lowered? You can also set room default volume levels so that when it turns on it is set to that volume everytime.
Cyknight
Doubt it's a true bug, but without knowing the setup it's impossible to tell where the issue really is. There's a few know setups that can cause something like this to happen if a few lines of programming aren't added (not a bug, it's actually expected behaviour based on internal setup that needs to be circumvented). msgreenf

The list is long, and no I'm not going to list all of them, especially as some of them are WRONG and not supported. If you're able to tell me what equipment you have, how it's wired up, and preferably what programming you have I could specify what is needed. Yes I realize that is NOT an easy question. Alternatively, your dealer ought to be calling in to C4 techsupport to look at it and fix it, or you can see if one of the dealer on here that do remote support and programming can help (nope, I'm not one of them) Think Matt is though )

msgreenf
How is your audio setup?
alanchow
It could be something silly like the programmer programming a button to start volume down but not do a stop volume down. Hard to say without reviewing the project. Honestly though this is something your dealer / integrator should resolve and if they can't resolve it they will need to contact Control4 technical support.
