Outlets - Non Dimmable

Hey Guys,

I just had a company come over to the house to do a system takeover (long story). Well, I decided to also add additional things in the house. One of those items were a 6 button programable switch and four of the outlets you plug into an outlet (control lamps or whatever you plug into them). They had no issue with getting them to turn on and stay on. However, apparently they are dimmable outlets. The problem is i have LED upper/lower cabinet lights that plug into those outlets so when they get turned "off" apparently there is still a small voltage that go through the outlets so the flicker. Has anyone run into this issue and if so, what is the fix? For now we just unplugged them because the technician wasn't sure if there were ones that didn't have the dimmable feather (that would solve the issue).

We also have integrated quite a few 3rd party solutions as well.  These are the few that i recommend (not a complete list)

Just FYI, the dimmer version not working well with (low wattage) LEDs is a fairly well known issue - the outlet dimmers are an older generation and have a fairly high threshold for minimum wattage, or the 'bleed' the dimmer has is enough to light the LEDs (all dimmers 'bleed', that's expected as such, but more modern options have a much lower threashold - ie C4's old line of regualr dimmers vs the new one is I think something like a 90% difference between their minimum wattage, the outlet versions however have never been updated)

don't you have to have cloud connectivity to set it up?

That is true.  Once licensing is implemented you can remove it from the internet.

dealer usually do this at their office and then take it to site.  Happens a lot for yachts and restricted government offices.
