stefan
I had some cable company work done (Comcast) and my system is not responding to my queries from my device. How can I change the wifi network assigned to my system? Can anyone share thoughts? Thanks Stefan in Florida

Best practice is to involve your dealer every time you contact your ISP for work. chopedogg88 and sonic30101

When network issues happen with a Control4 system, the only way to fix it 100% is to have the installers come take a look. Unless they gave you detailed print outs of the entire config with the IP addresses of every device.

Also by the very little info given by the OP it sounds like he might by using the ISP supplied equipment as well. If it was his network equipment the only thing Comcast would be messing with is the cable modem. Maybe the OP should have a proper network setup? -defunct-
stefan
Guys thanks for your help. There are issues with the control4 setup. Unfortunately due to the way the product is marketed and supported I can not do the simple change needed by myself. I have a call in to have a tech come out and take a look. In the meantime I've Macgyvered my system and have full use of the TV systems with the use of the Comcast remote App (free download). It allows full remote functionality of the TVs with Control4 audio where my Control4 remote only allowed turn on of audio and no control of TV video, volume or channel changing functionality. I haven't had the best success with Control4 support as it I have had to pay a tech hourly who often was dealing with issues first time (lots of thinking and standing while the clock was ticking). For the rate my expectation is a professional who can identify issues and address options or solutions. It's what I did.
-defunct-
If you're not happy with your current dealer, you can shop around to find a better one. It is a Certified Installer platform that does require some attention by a dealer. Some dealers have many options for maintenance and support for their systems. -defunct-
Also sounds like your original installer didn't get everything set up correctly. There is no way on Earth that a Comcast system would work better than a properly installed Control4 system. msgreenf
