Better IR to Cat5 splicing ideas?

I have 8 cat5 lines used for IR that terminate at my rack which are used in tandem with key digital transmitters and receivers for distributed video. The problem is... twice now, i have had an IR wire pull out of the little butt splices my installer used to crimp them to the cat5 cable. Is there a better way to do this? Does anyone make a junction box with a bunch of punch downs that I could use instead? Seems crazy to me that I'm relying on crappy little butt splices to run a very advanced system. What do you guys do for this?

Thanks,

-M

Only a couple of them. The others (including the ones that keep failing) are like an almost clear bell shaped connector.

I will be picking up some of these dolphin ones. Clever!
