ILoveC4
What’s your preferred cable and ends for making custom length stereo RCA cables? I need to make 7-8 varying length 3.5mm jack to stereo RCA and then probably 30 varying length stereo RCA cables. Thanks in advance.

I use different cable for different scenarios

cdepaola
I'm still using Plant Waves for back of rack still haven't found anything as flexible figuratively or literally.
crazybuppie
Planet Waves always looks great.

crazybuppie
Snap carries the whole line from what i see. RCA, F, Banana, etc...and their connectors are easy to terminate, easy to get to precise lengths, and they all look great. BWD carries the full line as well. The dual RG6 you're seeing is just one type of cable they offer.
cdepaola
I use the single in most cases, just my preference and lets me put the cable precisely where I want it for cleaner installs. Snap does not carry all of their stuff. Blackwire has a better selection including this https://www.blackwiredesigns.com/store/pw-mp-06/ which I think will help you
pkkaiser
What tool do you use to terminate?
lippavisual
The only tool they have is more or less a straight edge razor blade molded into a plastic hand held. This is used to cut the cable. Other than that, you just need a small headed flathead screwdriver.

I do also like their Cutter/Tester : http://planetwavesci.com/product/cable-cutter-tester/
lippavisual
That's exactly the one I have. I don't think I've ever used the tester on it. Cuts clean all the time (when changing blades often) and it's almost impossible to get a bad connection, if you terminate properly. Is good for that situation where you have a problem, just for verification.

Ends from them too. Just wasn’t sure what cable I should be buying to the RCA’s.
thecodeman
The planet waves cable is really nice. Most people buy the BC series RCA ends but you can spring for the gold plated ST series if you like. If you need something other than the 3.5mm/unterminated there is generic cable in various colors. https://www.blackwiredesigns.com/cat/planet-waves-cables-connectors/bulk-cable/
Cyknight
Your options: -PlanetWave - - - - - - On a serious note, planetwave is great to work with. 3.5mm stereo to rca I wish they had a solution to use normal wire vs the half pre-made, but hey, nothing I can't take in stride.
