Time2Jet
Per my earlier post regarding not being able to connect to my EA5 via Composer, I have been troubleshooting that on my own to no avail. In so doing, I have rebooted my network, reinstalled Composer and power cycled my EA5. Now... I’ve lost control of a TiVo on the system. I’m not sure why it dropped out. It’s very frustrating. All of this. I can’t even login to look at it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Time2Jet
Update - TiVo control magically reappeared. Sorry for the misfire. Still however - Neither Composer HE or ME can connect to my Director locally or remotely. Shows the error “Cannot Connect to Director 192.168.1.150” I don’t think I’m the only one with this issue. jfh
Are you on OS3? i have some strange hiccups with Tivo and OS3 where the Tivo becomes non-responsive. Sometimes it “catches up”, sometimes it doesn’t. I *think* this is more of a C4 systemic issue where it appears the controller “pauses” for a bit and then queued commands seem to execute rapid fire but haven’t spent time to determine root cause. But OS3 “stutters’ this way for me far more often than OS2 ever did.

But I do see the same thing you’re experiencing with OS 3.0. Everything (drivers) are all current, and it didn’t happen with OS 2. I use both bolt and older premier units

I use both bolt and older premier units Certainly possible as I don’t think the issue only happens when TiVo is involved. However it only started after a LUMA 510 NVR was installed and the system was upgraded to OS3. Network traffic should have been mostly a wash as the IP cameras were moved from my main switch to the NVR. (Yes, I know it’s bad to make two major changes at once). Navigation jumps to individual cameras on T3s have regressed to taking a long time (and sometimes they don’t load at all) like in the early 2.10 days. it it is maddening to turn on the LR TV and see it sometimes take up to 4-5 seconds to switch from the previous source to the selected one. Whatever the issue is, it isn’t consistent. It seems if the system hadn’t done anything for a while C4 commands get “backed up” to cause a delay and then the damn breaks and they suddenly execute all at once. There has been discussion of C4 changing the communication method in OS3. Maybe that’s related. I’m going to run some tests over the weekend after powering off the NVR to see if that helps the intermittent sluggish response. The biggest problem with that is that takes the cameras out of the equation. Open to any suggestions on how to debug.

I usually set them to 512, this depends on how many cameras you are running
jfh
I’m sure it’s whatever the default is. Will look into it. Thanks.
