ERDrPC
Hi I hope I can get some help. I have a 18 audio zone with two additional atmos zones in my system. For the distributed audio I have a - C4-16ZAMSv3-B and a C4-AMP10. The amps are set as always on so there is no audio delay. However in zones where is there is no active audio playing, we can hear the speakers hissing. Has my installer screwed up? Is there way to keep an instant on without hissing? Why instant on - we were getting delays of 15 to 20 seconds whenever we chose an audio or video source. I also have a doorbird question but I will ask that separately
knowitall
The levels are too high on the amp just like if you turned your stereo all the way up with no audio coming out speakers would hiss. Out of curiosity, when listening, what is an average volume % you would leave it at for a comfortable listening level? What sources do you have? i am unsure of what you are asking about the instant on question
vitali
you can try to reduce "in level", as well try to disconnect cable box (antenna is grounded and it can be an issue), if not, try do disconnect sources one by one. if not, make it working with trigger, your zone will be off if there is no incoming signal, so no hissing, might be some delay. Roy W
How does one turn down the amp level? The volume in the app is set to about 40, which shouldn’t be an issue.

Most amps have level controls on the back for each channel, sometimes a small knob, others use a screw which if they do if often slightly recessed.
