Luke
Hey everyone, I am attempting to get my announcements to work but also will be moving over to the official Sonos driver soon and want to know how everyone is dealing with this dilemma. Current living room setup where I need announcements played: Sonos 5.1, EA-3, Echo Dot, Samsung TV, rack (plus everything else) Here are some ideas I have... thoughts? 1. $10 powered computer speaker hooked to ea-3 just for audio announcements hidden behind my TV 2. Bluetooth transmitter hooked to ea-3 that transmits to my Echo dot that will play announcement files (I think this will work?) 3. Any way to output to Google Home as an end point? 4. Make the *.wav file a Sonos favorite (doesn't seem ideal) 5. Wait for improved driver 6. Anything else I'm not considering?? Part 2 of question... I cannot find a high enough quality AOL "you've got mail" *.wav file for my controller to accept. Does anyone have that audio file they can send me or have a link to a source for the file? The three I've tried from google are too low quality and my dealer doesn't have a source for this file.

Matt Lowe
1. feasible 2. echo dot is only audio in not out out. you could do the echo as it has Bluetooth audio but it wont know to switch automatically so still a bad idea. 3. not that i know 4.this will work. 6.keep it simple the more devices you add the more complicated it will be to make it react reliably. Luke
I got the AOL file sorted out. Downloaded Audacity and converted it to what C4 wanted in no time. I'm going try the computer speaker. Picked up a cheapo Logitech.
