MTS Power
I have an HC-800 and plugged in an eSata drive. I can't seem to get it to connect. It's a 2 TB drive, I formatted it for FAT32 and have no problem connecting to it when plugged into my computer. Any suggestions? I read the KB article on this subject and it seems to read that it would be plug and play. Any thoughts? Thanks
control4user007
First thing that comes to mind is try ssh in to the 800 and run "df" to see if busy box sees it. Then you know the problem isn't the port, but rather some issue between Linux and director.
MakeItAMudLight
I'm pretty sure the drive still needs to have a connection to the HC-800 in Composer but I could be wrong.
Cyknight
No manual connection needs to be made - the estat drive normally get loaded into the system the moment the HC800 is added (unlike USB ) - this sometimes doesn't happen tough and the driver may need to be added manually (should make the connection automatically, unless there is more than one HC800) Another possible issue is sector sizing etc.
MTS Power
Thank you for the tips. Which driver would be used for this?
