samsong
Hi All, I would like to have a few lights flash on and off 3 times when the doorbell is pressed.Anyone got a clean way to achieve this ?Is it done strictly through advanced lighting ? Thanks in advance
Cyknight
Best method will very much depend on what you want: Return light to previous state, is it one or two lights or the whole house etc.....
samsong
Well id like 3 or four lights to dim up and down quickly...Then I would return it to previous state using a variable to store the value before I trigger the sceneJust not sure in advanced lighting how to have a load go up and then down
Cyknight
Advanced scenes can have multiple steps - IF you have current gen lighting, so you can go on, of, on, of etc. When doing multiple lights, your best bet is to install the snapshot driver, tie it to those lights and do a scene. Again IF you have the current lighting. Alternatively, if levels aren't likely to be anything but on/off, you could simply do: When doorbell is pressedtoggle load atoggle load bdelay 500 mstoggle load atoggle load bdelay....and do an EVEN number of toggles for each load (which will bring it back to it's (basic) on/off state of before the press. South Africa C4 user
Assuming no one presses a switch while all the flashing is happening :-)
