ILoveC4
I have a driver that I added in my project long ago. I want to add it to another project of mine, but I no longer have the driver.I can't seem to find any way to extract the driver from within my project?! It isn't in the My Documents\User\Control4\Drivers folder.I can't find it anywhere (other than in the project in Composer). Is there a way to "extract" the driver so I can add it to my other project? C4RVA
Can you load the old project in to virtual director in composer and right click and export the driver?
ILoveC4
The driver is in my current project. I just don't know how to lift the driver from the project. Does that make sense?

ILoveC4
Right click and exportI don't know why I didn't realize that was an option earlier. I'm not at a PC now but will try that later.
alanchow
You can only right click and export driver wizard drivers not driverworks.
CFUG
^Doesn't work for me... But then again, I keep copies of everything I make- don't need it to work. Edited June 2, 2012 by Controlfouruserguy
ILoveC4
Well, it's a Driver Works driver, but I actually found a copy in a system restore file from after my PC crashed...it recovered some files and that was one if them. Thanks guys!
Nick McClellan
How can I cross reference drivers to know a most compatible version when there isn't an exact match. I'm trying to install a Yamaha RX-V485 driver but there isn't an exact match. Is there another Yamaha driver that will work in its place? Is there a reference table that might show compatibility for other driver issues like this? Same issue with a Phillips TV.
Valsodar
You can connect to a controller with WinSCP and download (not move) the driver. c4i drivers are in root/etc/c4i and c4l drivers are in root/control4/drivers folders.
